Hello 2022!
Well we all know what a roller coaster 2021 was so let’s close that door and look forward! Personally I took a bit of a time out over the holiday season. As January 1 approached, I came across this cartoon on Facebook (I am sorry but do not know the creator to provide credit). For me it sends a message – choose what you want for 2022 and plant the seeds to make it grow.
For OGC that means your new Board is busy planning meeting topics, activities and events to make the coming year outstanding. And it’s exciting to think of the possibilities as Canada celebrates 2022 as the Year of The Garden and National Garden Day on June 18th. We expect to have more info on specific initiatives for this year in February, but meanwhile, if you have ideas or suggestions for topics you would like to hear more about, community activities you would like to be involved in or how you might help us grow our Club please don’t hesitate to let us know. We expect to have lots of different volunteer opportunities coming up as the garden season approaches so hope to see more of you in person this year.
