Finally, we are turning the page on 2020 with hopes for a new, joyful, and healthy 2021. As gardeners we are an optimistic bunch by nature. After all, we take some dirt, a few seeds or a little plant and with love and a strong belief in what the future can be, we nurture and grow our gardens year after year!
As you look forward into the months to come, take the time to reminisce about the things that brought you joy, gave you hope and just plain made you happy. Maybe they were big things or maybe just little acts of kindness or unexpected surprises that made you smile.
Now is the time for us all to start planting ideas and little seeds for the things that we want to grow this year. Look at seed and plant catalogues and watch some of the many on-line videos – and dream a little (or big) dream for this year. We are hoping the Oshawa Garden Club will continue to be part of your resources to grow the gardens you are dreaming of, the friends you hope to see, and the ideas you hope to spread.
In the words of Alfred Austin-
“The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just the body, but the soul.”
