As a member of the Oshawa Garden Club I hereby agree and declare that while engaged in Club activities I will at all times: Conduct myself in a manner that supports the objectives and serves the overall best interests of the Oshawa Garden Club. Act with prudent judgement, honesty, transparency, and openness in my activities on behalf of the Oshawa Garden Club. Conduct myself in the spirit of collegiality, respecting and giving fair consideration to diverse and opposing viewpoints. Respect the Constitution and By-Laws of the Oshawa Garden Club, the principles of due process and the collective decisions of the Oshawa Garden Club Board and/or the membership. Avoid actual and perceived conflicts of interest, including accepting payment or benefiting financially from participating in Club activities, other than the reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses incurred through normal practices. Demonstrate respect for individuals in all manifestations of their cultural and linguistic diversity and life circumstances; encouraging a positive environment in which individual contributions are encouraged and valued. I agree and declare that while engaged in Oshawa Garden Club Activities I will not act in a manner which could be perceived as or that is harassment or abuse. If an issue of breach of this Code of Conduct is raised against me by a Board Member or any Oshawa Garden Club Member, I understand that I may be required to step aside until such time as a review has been completed by a committee formed for the purpose of conducting such review. I agree I will be required to resign as a member should it be found that I have violated any provision of this Code of Conduct. Oshawa Garden Club uses bulk emails to communicate with Club members. I agree to receive these emails. Photographs and short videos are often taken at Club events and used in our Greenleaf newsletter or for promotion of the OGC.
