Located on the eastern edge of the Golden Horseshoe in Southern Ontario, the City of Oshawa has joined the growing list of municipalities committing to taking actions to help pollinators! The City maintains several formal pollinator and community gardens. It has also amended its boulevard by-law to encourage planting for pollinators and is working to reduce mowing and increase naturalization in parks and areas adjacent to water.

Submit your favourite recipes and tips for our Gardener's Seasonal Cookbook by Monday, June 10th.

The submission form is available below or at the May meeting. Submissions can be sent by email to Cathy Toledo (cubakaty@rogers.com) or dropped off at the volunteer table at the May and June meetings.

Our annual plant sale offers great plants at bargain prices. Locally grown and cared for, we offer perennials, herbs, geraniums, dahlias and so much more.

Durham Master Gardeners and our members are available for help in choosing the right plant for your garden. Our partners include G.L. Roberts CVI Horticultural Program , Oshawa Environmental Advisory Committee, Robert Young (Dahlias).

Take advantage of free mini-demonstrations and planting activity for kids (must be accompanied by a parent). Cash sales only. Free parking. Student volunteers to assist with carrying plants.
